If you have any interest in becoming a Pro Gamer one of the most important factors is probably going to be the salary. Today we’re going to look at the salaries, benefits and bonuses in the pro gaming world.
Whats the base salary?
Okay so all of this is pretty difficult to work out due to the massive variance in skill levels and the amount of country’s participating. Expenses are normally paid for outside of the salary so we wont need to include the costs of traveling anywhere. Starting out you can expect to earn $15,000-$25,000 a year as your base wage, This rises significantly as you or your team goes up the ranks. Which literally means you could double or even triple this base wage if you have a good year!
Okay so I mentioned that expenses are normally paid for, this is definitely a big benefit considering you’re being paid to play games BUT also travel the world! on top of this its really down to you and your own initiative, if you can get sponsored or you go out of your way to promote product for people you can earn some SERIOUS money. Starting out with a small company sponsoring you, you can expect to earn an extra $100 a month, bigger brands pay more but to get them interested you need to be creating waves in the scene yourself!
